We haven’t tested another Blackview Mini Gaming PC in a while, specifically the MP200 – but the launch of the MP80 marks the producer’s latest tiny system. Its compactness is a clear advantage of the Blackview MP80.
The Blackview MP80 takes up only an 87.7 × 87.7 mm room and is the largest of compact workplace PCs at 37 mm. The manufacturer relied mainly on plastic for the construction of the system.
The PC can have 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. This configuration costs around US$270, which is reasonable. The Blackview MP80 with 12 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Still, we’d recommend going for our check configuration.
We welcome the choice to use DDR5 RAM, as the SOC should tap into its full potential significantly better than if it were using the slower DDR4 RAM. We’ll see later if it was a hit for the producer.
In this overview, we’ll evaluate the Blackview MP80 alongside some of the more well-known rivals we’ve now looked at in more depth. You can find a list of comparable gadgets in the following overview.
Suppose you’re looking for a mini PC. In that case, you’re probably doing so for a particular reason, as these compact PCs are only built for some functions.
On the flip side, most of these gadgets excelled at regular workplace tasks, browsing the net, and taking part in videos – the same can be said for the Blackview MP80.
Unlike the Blackview MP80, their SoC variants only rely on DDR4 RAM. The DDR5 option that Blackview MP80 features is the superior option.
However, we still need to change the RAM speed within the BIOS. Formerly, the RAM only ran at 3,200 MT/s. The Intel 95 can run with DDR5 at 4,800 MT/s based on technical data.
